Process
When you send a plan to us for quoting/job detailing we do all the following before finalizing the price/job:.:
- Working out rebate sizes and sill details for jobs requiring rebates
- Noting any differences on Assembly Medium Details, Profile Cut Sheets & Liner Cut sheets for manufacturing
- Check wall framing thicknesses and claddings for liner and flashing requirements.
- Checking all glass requirements i.e. where safety glass is required.
- Check all the plans (i.e. floor plan, elevations, detailed drawings, sections and window schedule) to make sure nothing is missed.
- Check I-values of all internal members (i.e. mullions, overlite transoms, door stiles, coupling bars, etc.) for strength requirements. We can allow extra stiffening when required.
- Check panel weights and sizes to ensure stays, rollers and bifold bogeys are not overloaded and within technical guidelines.
- Spec large, double-glazed units with your nominated glass supplier
- Check unit weights for site glazing requirements.
- Request and allow for subcontractor quotes for site glazing, winding gear, curving, installation, etc.
- Request and allow for technical support if required for oversize/complicated/specific design units.
- We can deal directly with your clients and architects to get questions answered quickly and free up your time.
- Add additional tags to each item and at the end of the quote to make things very clear for you and your client.
- Calculate options for frame types, hardware, glass, and WANZ sill flashings and support bars as required if done by remote access
- Prepare a comprehensive tag sheet for commercial and architectural house projects that you can present to your client.
- Tick off Assembly Medium Details when job detailing to ensure the correct profiles are ordered for manufacture
- Supply of detailed production sheets with notes & front cover for Fabricators to follow while manufacturing
